What changes when someone really sees your work

For two years I cleaned a 6km stretch of the Bagmati with maybe a dozen volunteers. I wrote no posts. I had no logo. I had a Google Sheet and a lot of trash bags.

The week after YPL featured me, the local mayor's office called, a national paper ran a small piece, and a hardware shop owner I had never met started leaving gloves at my door. None of that was money. All of it was permission.

I think that is the part outsiders underestimate, being seen, by the right people, in the right framing, is itself an enabling resource. It is not a substitute for funding. It is what makes the funding land.
