August 2026 Young Planet Leader Videep Agarwal

Videep Agarwal is a 17-year-old high school student at United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA), Singapore, and a globally recognized youth leader in conflict journalism and youth-driven global affairs. He leads international collaborations through The World in Pages, bringing underreported conflicts and policy issues to a global youth audience.

Videep co-founded The World in Pages in August 2023 after realizing that many people remained unaware of ongoing conflicts around the world despite their severity and human cost. Under his leadership, the magazine has amassed hundreds of subscribers and has interviewed more than 20 leading academics from institutions including Harvard, Columbia, Oxford, on topics ranging from Tibet to Sudan’s civil wars. The World in Pages has been recognised by the Paris Collaborative Promise and was selected as a finalist for the UNESCO and UN University backed Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge. The project has also been featured by the Business Times, Canvas Rebel, UWCSEA Spotlight, and Impact.Edition. The World in Pages is currently working on contributing a chapter to the University of Cambridge’s Companion to Sudan’s Civil Wars.

Beyond The World in Pages, Videep has authored policy commentaries and advisory work to the European Commission, US Trade Representative and more. He was also selected for a National Young Leaders Fellowship where he spoke at Marina Bay Sands’ ArtScience Museum exhibition “Another World is Possible”.
