Projects
Throughout the Changemaker Academy, our young changemakers will engage in two dynamic project phases designed to cultivate their leadership and problem-solving skills. First, during the “Launchpad” phase in the middle of the program, participants will be tasked with developing a hypothetical project based on a specific problem we provide. Over two weeks, each individual will craft a comprehensive plan, including a mission statement, detailed action plan, compelling pitch deck, and an outreach template. This exercise offers a foundational understanding of project development and receives general feedback to ensure completion.
Building on this experience, the “Vision to Action” phase in the latter half of the program empowers individuals to identify a problem within their own community and develop a real-world solution. This culminates in a comprehensive project, with key deliverables like a problem statement and a concise mission statement due by early November, fostering a direct application of their newfound knowledge to local challenges. What’s even more exciting is that the top three proposals in the Vision to Action phase will receive funding towards their projects, turning their innovative ideas into tangible impact.
